ABOUT US
The Annual Symposium BiotechHealth is incorporated in the International PhD Program in Molecular and Cellular Biotechnology Applied to Health Sciences (BiotechHealth), from Faculdade de Farmácia and Instituto de Ciências Biomédicas Abel Salazar, University of Porto. The multidisciplinary environment of this Doctoral Programme aims to promote collaborations between academia, clinics and industry. Students from various scientific fields are enrolled in this program, focusing on areas such as nanomedicine, biology, bioinformatics, and materials science.

This year, the X BiotechHealth Annual Symposium, themed "On the Shoulders of Giants", is organized by the students from the 9th edition of the BiotechHealth Doctoral Program.
Isaac Newton once said; “If I have seen further it was by standing on the shoulders of giants”. To discover great things, he relied on ideas of the ones that came before him.
The theme of this year’s 10th BiotechHealth symposium aims at bringing together great scientists covering a range of different disciplines to share with our scientific community a glimpse of their work of the past years. We will get the chance to listen about remarkable scientific breakthroughs of the last decade, be inspired, and look forward to what the future holds for Science!
This year’s edition marks the 10th Anniversary of the Doctoral Programme, therefore we also want to climb on the shoulders of giants and transform this symposium into a memorable experience for everyone!
